At App Gear Co, backpacking is in our blood and protecting the places we play is central to everything we do. Our brand was founded with a simple goal in mind: to create a performance product line using natural fibers that gives customers an eco-friendly alternative to polyester and nylon. The execution was not so simple, but we persevered and did something no one else had ever been able to do - make a lightweight performance fabric out of 100% alpaca. Today that spirit of innovation is as strong as ever, and we intend to keep pushing the boundaries of what sustainable outdoor performance gear can (and should) be.
